On September 17-19, 2024 FUEL-UP team members gathered in Trondheim, Norway, hosted by SINTEF Industry and SINTEF Ocean for the second consortium meeting.
It was a great opportunity to enthusiastically discuss the project research progress after 9 months of activities and to present the project’s future plans.
On the first day the team met at the stunning venue of Kvilhaugen Gård to present the activities implemented for each work package.
The second day the partners had the occasion to visit SINTEF Ocean Maritime Energy Systems Laboratory and SINTEF Industry Tiller Lab.
At SINTEF Ocean Maritime Energy Systems Laboratory current and future fuel and energy systems are tested and researched. The laboratory is equipped with seven separate fuel systems that can test known and future fuels and they are all built to be able to reproduce conditions on board ocean-going vessels. In addition, there is also a battery tester for the electrical operation of boats and ships.
💧 The CO2 laboratory at Tiller is a highly equipped test facility for development of post-combustion hashtag#CO2capture technologies, as well as a research lab for flue gas pre-treatment analysis and emission research.
